It's hump day, and this is the last week of new assignments. You shoud be working on Week #8 30-30-30 Challenge. So finish up this week and use next week to catch up on all of the assignments that you have not yet completed. That is how you will earn your weekly points. You don't want to be that person scrambling tring to get everything done in a week - it won't work!
Saturday, May 9
Okay! Today I am posting the last assignment for this school year.
Horay! Make sure you submit Week #7 by Monday May 11. Week #8, like I said will be the last assignment and it will be due on May 18. Use the week of May 18 through 22 to catch up on all incomplete assignments. Hang in there this weird finish is almost over.
Friday May 8
Week #7 30-30-30 Challenge is due on Monday, May 11th. Week #8 will be our last weekly assignment and it will be due on Monday, May 18th. Assignment that are more than 2 weeks late will not be given full credit.
Wednesday, May 6
Just want to say THANKS and WELL DONE to those students who have been getting their assignments in on time. We are halfway through another week, and I'm still looking for a few people to turn in their assignment #6 from last week.
Keep in mind words like HONESTY, INTEGRITY, INDEPENDENCE, and RESPONSIBILITY. These words and your actions help develop the person you will become. WHO DO YOU WANT TO BE and HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE SEEN?
Tuesday, May5
When filling out your 30-30-30 Challenges - PLEASE be HONEST! When I check on a Monday for an assignment that was due last week and nothing was done, and all of a sudden on Monday afternoon that same day or Tuesday morning, a week-long assignment is suddenly complete, it makes a teacher wonder if the student is being completely honest. I am looking for a DAILY JOURNAL entry. Not what you are PLANNING to do, and not something MADE UP. I take the time to look at your work, please take the time to make an HONEST DAILY entry. Thanks!
Monday, May 4
I'll be entering grades from last week today. We will be doing Week #7 this week with the due date of Monday, May 11th. Most of you have figured out how to enter your data and things seem to be going smoothly. Hang in there we are almost done with this school year.

Thursday, April 16
I got tired of being stuck inside, and even though it was cold outside, I went out and did some yard work. I'm in the process of putting in a grass and doing some landscaping around our house.
Make sure you are keeping on the "Ball Skill Challenge" - the GOAL is to increase the number of successful CATCHES while reducing the number of DROPS. I' going to do the three challenges today and I will post my numbers here tomorrow. See if you can beat me! GOOD LUCK!
Wednesday, April 15
Yesterday I played 18 holes of putt-putt in my basement and did the exercises at each hole. In addition, I tried my hand at the Ball Skill Challenge. Today each of you should be attempting to improve your numbers. GOOD LUCK!
Tuesday, April 14
Today you should have completed the BALL SKILL CHALLENGE 4-5-6 for Tuesday.
Remember you type in for that day ONLY, don't go ahead to the next day. We will see if your numbers improve by Friday.
Thursday, April 9
I'll be checking your "Ball Skills 1-2-3" Challenge results today. Remember you should be doing them daily. Next week we will be doing "Ball Skills 4-5-6" Check ou the Calendar and then go to Google Classrom for all the details and videos. HAVE A GOOD BREAK!
Wednesday, April 8
HEY GANG! There are a lot of you who are only completing 1/2 of Ball Skill #1. I sent a note in GOOGLE CLASSROOM and explained that there are 3 BALL SKILLS, with 6 differnt PATTERNS. You are required to write in the number of catches and number of drops for each Ball SKill. SO, if you look below you will see my results for yesterday. There are actually 12 different numbers. Your worksheet should have 12 number for each day.
Make sure you take a look in Google Classroom for my recent video, "PUTT-PUTT with a REASON". I will be able to play putt-putt for quite some time and still get in some exercise. I can change up the exercises if I wish.
My results for the Ball Skill Challenge went like this:
Ball Skill #1 Tossing the ball in the air and catching it with the opposite hand.
Right hand to left hand in 30 seconds - 23 with 0 drops
Left hand to right hand in 30 seconds - 25 with 0 drops
Question: I'm right handed so WHY DID I do more with my left hand to right hand? Because I'm right -handed and I played a lot of baseball growing up.
Answer: THINK about it - as a right-handed player, I caught the ball with my left hand and transferred the ball to my right hand to THROW the ball. OKAY, that makes sense!
Ball Skill #2 Bouncing the ball on the floor and catching the ball in the opposite hand.
Right hand to left hand in 30 seconds -30 with 0 drops
Left hand to right hand in 30 seconds -30 with 0 drops
Ball Skill #3 Bouncing the ball on the floor and catching the ball in the opposite hand
with a transfer behind the back.
Right hand to left hand in 30 seconds -23 with 2 drops
Left hand to right hand in 30 seconds -22 with 1 drop
Tuesday, April 7
So, how is the Ball Skill Challenge going? I'm about to go down to my basement and see how many I can do of each. I'll let you know how I make out.
Another thing I've been thinking about. I've been trying to come up with different and unusual ideas of what sport or sport related activities we might be able to do in our current situation. I've decided to go down to my basement and set up a 9 hole putt-putt course. I'll let you know how that goes as well.
If you come up with some ideas drop me an email, who knows, we might be able to share it with others just for FUN or as an assignment. THANKS in advance!
Monday, April 6
NOTE TO ALL: All weekly assignments will be worth 25 points from now on (5 points per day)!

SO, there seems to be a little confusion! When I say "RECORD YOUR RESULTS", what I really mean is to just TYPE THEM IN on the assignment document. ONCE you do that I can see your input. SIMPLE!
Today work on your INSANITY VIDEO and 30-30-30 Challenge!
I'm going to go work on my 30-30-30 CHALLENGE!
Wednesday, April 1
HI ALL!- Just a quick note: I spend my evenings looking through Google Classroom assignments to to see if everyone is keeping up on their assignments.
The "30-30-30 Challenge" I know is easy to do, and doesn't take much time to comlete, because I've been doing it as well. I typically get 30 minutes of activity walking Mulligan (my dog), the push-ups, and sit-ups, I do in the evening between watching T.V. and looking through Google Classrooms. THEN YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR JOURNAL ENTRIES!
Monday and Tuesday you were suppose to do the INSANITY videos and record your results. It was probably about an 8 minutes assignment, which includes recording your results. You could have even used the time spent doing the INSANITY video as part of your 30-30-30 Challenge.
You can do this! If you have any questions or concerns send me a quick email and I will get back to you!
Tuesday, March 31
NEW - NEW - NEW Ms. Kenny and I worked at putting together some helpful hits for completing the Insanity Video and the 30-30-30 Challenge forms. Take a look at them TODAY first thing it should help immensely! Today you will be following Part 2 of the Insanity Video. It's easy just click on Video #2 Link and follow along with the instructor. Record when the instructor takes a break. If you can't keep it up for the full length of time you can stop, take a quick break, and start over again as time permits. Just get as many reps in as possible.
Monday, March 30
Today you should be going into Google Classroom and start the 4 exercises on the INSANITY Video #1. Make sure you count the number of each exercise that you do and record them during the break as instructed in the video.
We are also going to keep the 30-30-30 Challenge going -- remember I'm doing them as well. When we get back to school, push-ups and sit-ups should be a piece of cake!
Sunday, March 29
30-30-30 Completed - with a motorcycle ride (just for fun), walking Mulligan twice, and washing my car.
Saturday, March 28
Today was an easy day since the ground was so wet. I couldn't do yard work, so I took a little bike ride and walked the dog for a total of 30+ minutes. I did the 30-30 this evening to wrap up the day.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! Students should:
1. Check Mr. Condon's WEEBLY WEBSITE DAILY - look at the calendar and see what's to come. While you're there, take a look at Mr. C's Journal to see what I've been up to, and any other Important Notes.
2. Then go into GOOGLE CLASSROOM to see your next assignment! Monday, March 30 through April 3 - Did someone say "INSANITY"?
I will post the next ASSIGNMENT this Saturday, March 28th!
3. Grading of the 30-30-30 Challenge prior to Spring Break :
I made the assignment worth 30 points hoping to get everyone's attention. Those of you who completed the assignment, I want to thank you for being responsible and completing the assignment. Those of you who did not complete the assignment, I hope you will do what needs to be done as we move forward.
That having been said, I am going to make the past assignment worth 1 point, just so I know who actually completed the assignment and who did not. For those who did not complete the assignment, consider this your grace period. From now on,
ALL ASSIGNMENTS will be worth the point values assigned, and due on their due date.
I can no longer grade a student on Participation/Personal Best and Cooperation and Behavior because we are not in a classroom setting. Instead, students will be graded on the assignment posted in Google Classroom.
SPRING BREAK
30-30-30 Challoenge
1. Keep track of your Journal entries daily. I am checking periodically to see how everyone is progressing.
2. Please do not fill in the Journal until the assigment is completed. I'm not looking for what you plan to do, I'm looking for what you did do!
3. Make sure you attach your work when completed in the classroom.
4. I plan to enter the grades for this past weeks 30-30-30 Challenge at the end of next week to allow for those who joined us late to catch up.
5. Hope everyone is doing well. If you have any questions please email me and I will get back to you.Wednesday, March 18th
Wednesday, March 18
30 Push-ups, 30 Sit-ups and 45 Minutes of Movement - 25 minutes walking with my wife and dog "Mulligan". Then another 20 minutes on an exercise bike. I also did some light weight-lifting with exercise bands, like we did in class, for about 15 minutes.
Thursday, March 19
Working on my "Social Distancing"
30 Push-ups, 30 Sit-ups and 40 - Minute walk in the woods.
Friday, March 20
I got off to a slow start today. I walked the dog early in the morning and in the afternoon getting my 30 minutes of movement in, but didn't get to the 30-30 push-ups and sit-ups until later that night. So, as I was sitting watching TV, during 3 commercials I did 10-10 to get my 30-30 in. Easy-peasy!
Saturday, March 21
30-30-30 completed once again. I'm grateful to have a dog that needs to go for a walk at least 3 times a day. That's how I've been getting my 30 minutes of movement each day. I hope you are coming up with some other ideas that are fun.
Sunday, March22
Started off walking the dog again for about 15 minutes. Then decided to go to Punderson State Park to go for a walk. They have a Frisbee Golf course there that is ranked #3 in the United States according to the Golf Course Club Pro. So I got a little more walking around there. I plan to go and give that a try, all you would need is a Frisbee. Then later in the day I decided to go to my basement and workout. I did another 20 minutes on an exercise bike and then did some lifting including my 30 push-ups and 30 sit-ups.
I plan to continue doing the 30-30-30 Challenge throughout SPRING BREAK! Join in you don't have to keep the Journal during SPRING BREAK.
Monday, March 23
I'm really glad I have a dog (her name is Mulligan). She makes sure my wife and I get out for a couple of long walks each day. So, we go for walks around the neighborhood or into the woods down behind our house. Then all I had to do was make sure I got my push-ups and sit-ups in each day. SO FAR SO GOOD (meaning that's what I've been doing the clallenge each day).
Tuesday, March 24
I decided to do a little work around the house today. Mulligan got her usual walks in and I cleaned out the Garage. I also went over to my mom's house and helped her with some work she needed to be done. I sanded and painted my outdoor table. I still have the outdoor chairs to do, maybe I'll do those tomorrow. Got the push-ups and sit-ups done between commercials again last night.
Wednesday, March 25
Here we go again! So today I spent 8 hours behind a rototiller, a shovel, and a rake. Needless to say I got my 30+ minutes of movement today. Just finished my 30 push-ups and 30 sit-ups between commercials. Well until tomorrow! Have a good night.
Thursday, March 26
Well my wife and I worked in the yard again today for about 5 hours. We went on a Motorcycle ride to Middlefield and back. It was a little cold that's why it was such a short ride. Push-ups and sit-ups to come a little later during commercials.
Friday, March 27
From now on I will be putting the newest information on top and the older will be below. Today I spent another 5 hours on the rototiller and working on my yard. Push-ups and sit-ups to follow tonight.
